When our clients found out their family would be expanding, they contacted us to help them remodel the kitchen and primary bath in their Lakewood cottage. We used an empty corner of their kitchen to add banquette seating and new cabinetry, creating the coziest breakfast nook and coffee station. We kept the original cabinets throughout the rest of the kitchen but painted them a muted and nostalgic shade of green and added the perfect statement print to the window and banquette.
In the bathroom, we were able to expand the footprint by using space from a hall closet and installing a pocket door. We removed all the fur-downs (I mean, really why were these ever a thing?!) and installed all new cabinetry that we painted a beautiful blue-gray. But the crown jewel of this bathroom has to be the hand painted Moroccan zellige tile we sourced for the tub surround. Each piece is unique in color and shape, bringing the most beautiful dimension to this space. What a beautiful space for their new baby to splish and splash!
